He served as Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and member of the Strategy and Development Committee at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi. He began his career in the Finance and Administration Department of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in 1978, and represented the Authority on the boards of directors of various banks and financial institutions.
